Intelligence Training:
Explanation

of Process

The OccFld Specialists within the Intelligence Department work closely with the operating forces to determine the community's training requirements. Whether through a joint or a stand-alone course,  requirements are met when possible, through formal schooling. Most of our training time as a force is spent in initial formal training schools that grant us our MOS's. However, there are other formal schools available depending on your MOS. The operating forces and the supporting establishments are presented with the opportunity to provide input to Intelligence Department on how many Marines they need to send through each school. Intelligence Department then presents that case to Training and Education Command and the school seats are allotted.

If unit training sections have questions, please contact your OccFld specialist.

About to PCS? There may be an opportunity for you to attend a formal follow-on school enroute. Contact your OccFld Specialist if you have questions.
