Mission

The Marine Corps Reserve Intelligence Program (MCRIP) complements and supports the regular active duty force.  MCRIP includes Individual Mobilization Augmentees (IMA), Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR), Active Reserve (AR), and the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).  MCRIP is the reserve component portion of the overall program to enhance Marine Corps Intelligence.

Function

• Integrate reserve intelligence capabilities into the active component into maximize USMC total force intelligence capabilities.

• Serve as Operational Sponsor for the Headquarters USMC IMA Detachment consisting of an HQMC Intelligence Division Detachment, DIA J2 Detachment, and DIA DH Detachment.

• Manage the HQMC Intelligence Active Duty Special Work (ADSW) program and budget.

• Recruit, identify, coordinate, and mobilize Reserve and Retired Marines in support of global requirements.

• Coordinate and assist Marine Forces Reserve (MarForRes) G-2 with training and staffing.

• Coordinate and manage the Reserve Marine.
