Mission
Executes Headquarter Marine
Corps (HQMC) responsibilities
concerning Marine Corps participation in Department of Defense (DoD)
cryptologic activities, signals intelligence (SIGINT) activities, and
serves as the Director of Intelligence point of contact for issues
related to ground Electronic Warfare (EW), intelligence support to
Information Operations (IO), and SIGINT systems architecture.
Function
Manages
the HQMC Office of Signals Intelligence.
Represents the Marine Corps within the Department of the Navy, and
serves as the Marine Corps point of contact for intelligence support to
IO, INFOSEC monitoring, and SIGINT systems architecture.

Serves as Marine Corps representative to the Office of the
Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Joint Staff, the National Security
Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS), the three Service Cryptologic
Organizations, and other DoD agencies for all policy matters involving
SIGINT.

Participates in OSD, Joint Staff, and intelligence community
actions concerning SIGINT, EW, IO, intelligence system technical
architectures, and interoperability standards.

Provides or coordinates Marine Corps representation to external
committees and working groups addressing SIGINT, EW, IO, and
intelligence systems technical architectures.

Coordinates with NSA/CSS and Naval Security Group to ensure that
appropriate SIGINT support and technical guidance is provided to Marine
operating forces.
·
Provides assistance to Marine Corps Combat Development Command in
identifying requirements for SIGINT, ground EW, intelligence support to
IO, and intelligence systems technical architectures.

Reviews doctrine and policy that effect SIGINT, ground EW,
INFOSEC
monitoring,
intelligence
support to IO, and intelligence system technical architectures.

Provides
assistance to Marine Corps System Command regarding research,
development, and acquisition initiatives related to SIGINT, EW, INFOSEC
monitoring,
IO, and intelligence system technical architectures and standards.
